Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. informs its consumers that maintenance activities will be conducted on March 18, Saturday. This is to ensure stability of distribution lines to avoid further serious damages that will result to major interruptions. Details of this outage are as follows:

Date: March 18, 2023 – Saturday

Time: 6am to 3pm

Reasons:

• Replacement of reloading motors of switchgear for feeder protection and replacement of XLPE cable for feeder line take off;
• Integration of SCADA communication and connectivity function;
• Preventive maintenance of Murcia Substation and related accessories;
• Installation of additional feeder line from feeder take off to newly-installed double circuit distribution line;
• Replacement of rotten primary poles and rerouting of distribution lines; and
• Tree clearing activities.

Electricity consumers are further advised that, in the event of any power interruption, electrical switch/es should be turned-off for safety reasons. When electricity supply resumes, please provide allowance of about 10-15 minutes before switching on all electrical appliances and facilities to avoid power surge.
