CENECO Begins Second Phase of Testing and Commissioning of State-of-the-Art SCADA System

Bacolod City, Philippines – Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CENECO) has begun the second phase of testing and commissioning of its state-of-the-art System Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. The SCADA system is a significant milestone in CENECO’s pursuit of enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring the robustness of power substation infrastructure.

Designed with state-of-the-art technology, the SCADA system empowers CENECO to monitor critical data points and manage the entire substation’s perimeter with unprecedented precision. It is also aimed to revolutionize the monitoring, control, and data acquisition processes within the coop’s power substations, reinforcing its commitment to delivering reliable and efficient electricity service.

The second phase of testing and commissioning is a pivotal stage in the system’s deployment process. CENECO technical staff, together with a pool of IT personnel, are assessing the SCADA system’s performance under various scenarios, ensuring its seamless integration with existing infrastructure.

 

Once fully operational, the SCADA system will provide CENECO technical personnel with real-time information, allowing them to make sound decisions swiftly and effectively. This will help CENECO to improve its operational efficiency and ensure the reliability of its electricity service to its Member-Consumer-Owners.
