With prior approval of the National Electrification Administration, the CENECO Board of Directors issued Board Resolution No. 13802, Series of 2023, terminating the Plebiscite Voting Period and thereby, cancelling the Plebiscite scheduled on September 2-3, 2023.

The decision comes as a result of the turnout of votes in favor of the Joint Venture Agreement between CENECO and Primelectric Holdings Inc. As certified by the Overall Plebiscite Committee, 98,591 voted YES out of the total 178,236 eligible voters. This constitutes 55.31% of the total number of eligible voters which is more than the majority vote requirement under Section 36(b) of Presidential Decree 269.
