(ePR No. 2022-020)

Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. launched its first-ever online Pre-Membership Education Seminar (PMES) last March 2, Wednesday, which was conducted via Zoom videoconferencing.

The online PMES is a substitute to the face-to-face Consumer Orientation Seminar, which in the past years, before the onslaught of the CoViD-19 pandemic, was being held in the CENECO offices that requires physical attendance.

Luisa Parroco, MCSS Head Q Panisales, Member-Consumer Services Coordinator Vanessa Hernandez and Membership Affairs Coordinator Rollen Balquin, together with the attendees.

The online attendance to the PMES is a pre-requisite to the application for electric service connection. A Certificate of Attendance is being issued after the seminar.

During the PMES, CENECO history, Institutional details, types of power interruptions, One-Bill Policy, Anti-Pilferage Act, steps to service application and the required documents to be submitted, and other matters of the power industry are being discussed.

This initiative of the Member-Consumer Integrated Services Division (MCISD) aims to educate applicants without jeopardizing their health since we are still in the pandemic.

With these ongoing developments, CENECO aspires to promote more consumer-focused programs.*
