CENECO informs its consumers connected to the Bacolod-Silay 69kV line, covering Talisay and Silay feeders, that the intermittent power interruptions that occurred over the weekend, August 21 and on Monday morning of August 22, 2022 was due to the overloading of the NGCP Negros-Cebu submarine cable triggering the opening of Bacolod-Silay 69kV protection device.
CENECO would like to reiterate that situations that cause unscheduled power interruptions as stated above are unforeseen by the electric cooperatives (ECs), such as CENECO. These circumstances are out of the EC’s control since various factors are involved. Rest assured that CENECO closely coordinates with the transmission facility, National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) for the immediate restoration of power.
CENECO apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the power outages.
