CENECO SETS POWER INTERRUPTION ON AUGUST 23

Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. informs its consumers that maintenance activities will be conducted on August 23, Sunday. This is to ensure reliability of distribution lines to avoid further serious damages that will result to major interruptions. Details of this outage are as follows:

 

Date: August 23, 2020 – Sunday


Reasons:


• Opening and closing of 69kV air-break switch at Brgy. Mandalagan, Bacolod City and at area fronting Talisay substation, Menlo, Talisay City;
• Replacement of 69kV rotten poles along Bacolod-Silay 69kV transmission line (TL);
• Preventive maintenance schedule of 20MVA power transformer and repair hotspot at Talisay substation;
• Replacement of poles covering Talisay Feeders 1, 2 and 3, Brgy. Zone 10, Talisay City;
• Line clearing covering TF1, TF2, TF3 and portion of Bacolod-Silay 69kV TL; and
• NGCP will conduct load transfer of Panaogao and Lopez substations from Bacolod-Silay 69kV TL to Cadiz-Silay 69kV TL.

 

Time: 7am to 8am and 4pm to 5pm

Electricity consumers are further advised that, in the event of any power interruption, electrical switch/es should be turned-off for safety reasons. When electricity supply resumes, please provide allowance of about 10-15 minutes before switching on all electrical appliances and facilities to avoid power surge.
