As part of its preventive maintenance schedule, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) will shut down its Bacolod-Silay 69kV transmission line on December 12, Sunday that will affect CENECO’s Burgos, Mt. View, Talisay, Panaogao and Lopez substations.

CENECO shall take advantage of this downtime by implementing simultaneous maintenance activities.

Details of this outage are as follows:

Date: December 12, 2021 – Sunday

Reasons:
• NGCP will conduct preventive maintenance schedule of 100MVA Transformer No. 1 and associated HVE, including its protective relays and secondary devices, and integrity testing of fault clearance system;
• Load transfer of Burgos, Talisay, Lopez and Panaogao substations from Bacolod-Silay 69kV transmission line to Cadiz-Silay 69kV TL;
• CENECO will conduct opening and closing of 69kV airbreak switch at corner circumferential – Buri Road, Brgy. Mandalagan, Bacolod City to facilitate isolation of portion of 69kV transmission line;
• Replacement of rotten 69kV transmission poles for safety;
• Preventive maintenance of Mt. View substation, correction of hot spot at load side of power transformer and testing of parameters;
• Isolation of portion of Burgos Feeder 4 for safety of line workers; and
• Tree clearing activities.
