NGCP SETS POWER INTERRUPTIONS ON NOVEMBER 18, CENECO ON NOVEMBER 19
The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) will shut down its Bacolod-San Enrique 69kV line affecting CENECO’s Sum-ag and Lag-asan substations on November 18, Saturday.
CENECO shall take advantage of this downtime by implementing simultaneous maintenance works.
Further, maintenance activities will be conducted on November 19, Sunday to ensure stability of distribution lines to avoid further serious damages that will result to major interruptions.
Details of this outage are as follows:
Date: November 18, 2023 – Saturday
Time: 6am to 6pm
Reasons:
• NGCP will conduct:
1. Replacement of wood poles
• CENECO will conduct:
1. Ride-on preventive maintenance of 10MVA Sum-ag and 10MVA Hilangban substations;
2. Correction of hot spot;
3. Replacement of rotten primary and secondary poles; and
4. Tree clearing activities.

Electricity consumers are further advised that, in the event of any power interruption, electrical switch/es should be turned-off for safety reasons. When electricity supply resumes, please provide allowance of about 10-15 minutes before switching on all electrical appliances and facilities to avoid power surge.
