The Central Negros Electric Cooperative Inc. and the Bacolod City Water District will suspend collection of bill payments following the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine in the province and city starting Monday.

In its advisory, Ceneco said it will temporarily suspend payment collection of electricity bills in its Bacolod main office and area offices in the cities of Bago, Silay, and Talisay, and town of Murcia beginning Monday.

The member-consumers may still pay through online banking, fund transfers, authorized collection centers, and collecting banks.

Ceneco said it will maintain line operations crew to ensure continuous electricity service.

The power utility firm earlier announced that it gave its consumers an extra 15 days to settle their monthly bills.

At Baciwa, general manager Juliana Carbon said its main office at Galo-San Juan Street will be closed and that it will not accept bill payments.

“Distribution of water bills will be temporarily suspended until the lockdown is lifted,” she added.

Reading of water meters for the months of March and April will also be suspended and consumers will be billed based on their consumption in the past three months, she said.

For billing inquiry and concerns, one can text BILL INQUIRY with account name and number at 0966-6739679 or email them to [email protected], she said.

For online payment, one can download the Baciwa application in their smartphones through the Play Store, and register their account number. They can also pay through GCash, Carbon said.

Baciwa had announced earlier that it suspended its disconnections and penalty charges for consumers.*
