To recognize the contributions of every woman in the movement of rural electrification and in the power sector, CENECO, in cooperation with the Philippine Rural Electric Cooperatives Association (PHILRECA), celebrated the 2024 National Women’s Month today, March 8, through a conduct of a webinar for all the electric cooperatives’ women employees.

The activity with the sectoral theme “Kababaihan ng Sektor ng Enerhiya: Malakas, Matapang, Malaya!” was held to honor the roles and contributions of women in our society that have resulted to the triumphs and achievements of the power industry.

Further, to show appreciation to female consumers, CENECO gave away tokens that was simultaneously conducted in all offices in Bacolod, Bago, Murcia, Talisay and Silay.

CENECO employees also wore purple to signify support to gender equality and women’s empowerment.
