CENECO Conducts Medical Mission

[e-PR No. 2022-086]
CENECO, in partnership with Aboitiz Power Corporation, Aboitiz Foundation and Green Core Geothermal, Inc., conducted a medical mission today, November 26 at the CENECO main office grounds.

One of the highlights of the activity was the turn-over of medicines worth P100,000. Aboitiz Power Corp., represented by Area Supervisor Sean Timothy Salvador, endorsed the medicines to Brgy. 32 as the beneficiary. Capt. Beboy Yap personally received the medicines in behalf of the barangay.

Further, Barangay Health Workers rendered their time and effort to support the medical mission. They conducted initial interviews, and taking of vital signs, blood pressure and temperature. Eight volunteer doctors also took time to for the physical check-ups of the participants and provided prescriptions to around 300 patients. Dispensing of the prescribed medicines and vitamins followed. The participants also each received two kilos of rice and snacks.

After three years of not being able to hold the said activity because of the restrictions of the CoViD pandemic, CENECO Board President Jojit Yap expressed her gratitude to the sponsors and the participants that the conduct of the activity was made possible.

As the world is gradually adjusting to the new normal, CENECO hopes to conduct more of Member-Consumer-Owner (MCO)-focused activities.

The medical mission, being part of CENECO’s corporate social responsibility programs, aims to give back to the MCOs, specifically to their health and wellness.
