FYI: CONSUMER RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS

While all consumers have the right to apply for an electric service connection, the Magna Carta for Residential Electricity Consumer also highlighted:

“Article 32. Obligation to Pay Monthly Electricity Bills. Consumers must pay their bills not later than nine (9) days after receipt of the monthly bill.”

For CENECO to pay its obligations to power suppliers, transmission and government charges, CENECO reiterates the following:

All electricity bill is due nine (9) days after it was rendered.

A Notice of Disconnection is rendered on day 10, counting from the day the bill was rendered.
Disconnection of electricity service shall be implemented two (2) days after receipt of Notice of Disconnection.

CENECO consumers may process payment of electric bills on or before the due date through RCBC, BDO or UnionBank Online Banking, CENECO offices or CENECO-accredited collection centers.

Thank you for your prompt payment.
