As part of its ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability, CENECO, in coordination with Brgy. Pta. Taytay Council and Katunggan Growers and Tenders, conducted a Mangrove Planting Activity today, January 13 at Pta. Taytay mangrove coastal area, Bacolod City.
The program started with the opening prayer, followed by briefing and mangrove planting proper.
More than 100 employees, headed by Acting General Manager Atty. Arnel L. Lapore and Board President Dwight A. Carbon, planted a total of 2,000 mangrove propagules of Bakhaw, Pagatpat and Bungalon species.
It can be recalled that CENECO was named as the “Decarbonization Champion for the Year 2023” by First Gen, being its partner in advocating a cleaner and greener world, during its Bakawan Award / Customers’ Appreciation Night last December 7.
CENECO aims to uphold its dedication to make a positive impact to the environment through greening activities.
